Linenfields Festival is situated in the town land of Lenaderg, in the parish of Tullylish, about 2 miles outside Banbridge, Co. down.

The origin of the name Lenaderg is ‘Laithreach Deirce’ meaning ‘site of a cave’, however the modern form would be ‘Leana Dearg’ meaning ‘red water meadow’, and due to the proximity to the river Bann it was the perfect place for the linen industry.

Today, Lenaderg is a thriving townland, the population has expanded due to new housing developments, it has it's own school, 'Milltown Primary School' and hotel, 'The Bannville House Hotel'.

As for the future of Lenederg? Well, we at Linenfields Festival plan to make the area synonymous with good music, entertainment, family fun and an annual successful weekend that should be marked in everyone’s diary!

The Linenfields Festival is organised by Lawrencetown Cultural Music Group.
